Homeward NYC was honored to be part of the Impact 100 NYC Big Give event on May 16, held at the Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice.

Impact 100 NYC is a volunteer-led organization known for uniting women across the five boroughs to effect transformative change.

Their annual awards ceremony spotlights nonprofits who are finalists for a $100,000 innovation grant.

While we didn’t take home the big prize, we were grateful to receive a $25,000 grant. And we look forward to partnering with Impact 100 NYC on projects over the next year.

The Big Give was a great opportunity to meet the generous, engaged, and dedicated members of Impact 100 NYC. We also connected with our fellow nonprofit finalists—Good Call, Harlem Grown, and Sure We Can. Their exceptional work left us inspired and hopeful for future collaborations.

We extend a special thank you to Jo Umans, Laureen Schipsi, and Lisa Davis of Impact 100 NYC’s Grant Review Committee. Their compelling “for your consideration” video championed our new Transitional Care & Aftercare Program—emphasizing its transformational nature and the importance of continuity of support from shelter and supportive housing to more independent living.

The Transitional Care & Aftercare Program launches this summer.

Thank you, Impact 100 NYC team!
